Cam and Angie: Pelican Hill

I’ve been waiting to shoot Cam and Angie’s wedding for about 2 years now. No, they weren’t engaged for 2 years, I just so happen to meet them shortly before they became engaged and I secretly wanted to shoot their wedding ever since our first meeting.

Cam and Angie met in High School (yes they are High School Sweethearts, aaaawwww) and quickly began a beautiful relationship. 7 or so years later they were ready to make their love official. Cam asked Angie for her hand in marriage & of course she said YES! Their wedding took place on January 29th at Pelican Hill Golf Course in New Port Coast.

No detail was left undone, as Kerrie from Platinum Weddings by Kerrie was there to make sure the wedding went off without a hitch. She made sure that all 17 members of the bridal party (including a surprise appearance by “Captain” Angie & Cam’s bulldog) were ready to go and looked perfect.

Speaking of looking perfect… Angie was a knockout! Angie has to be one of the most stylish bride’s I’ve ever worked with.  Every time I see her she is always looking like she just walked out of a styled photo shoot. She is a doll. So it was no surprise that she went all out for her wedding. Starting with her “something blue” shoes. I’m sure you are all familiar with the show “Sex in the City”, right? Well prepare to be envious ladies because Angie’s something blue was the Manolo Blahnik “Something Blue” Satin Pumps. Yep, the same shoes that Carrie had! Wow, were they beautiful!

The ever-talented Kali Hana of Pave Salon in Anaheim Hills did Angie’s hair and Berit did her Make-up. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Berit before and was thrilled to do it again! And finally, Angie’s gown was made perfectly for her. You’ll notice the cake is a “spin off” of her dress- LOVE.

Cam has to be one of the sweetest guys around (Logan, his brother is a close second in my opinion- their parents have raised amazing men) he is loving, considerate, and madly in love with Angie. I’ve had the opportunity to photograph Cam’s family a few times now so I am familiar with how Cam is in front of the camera: happy & smiling. However on his wedding day he was different. Not only was his smile bigger but he also he had a twinkle in his eye.  It was as if he needed someone to pinch him to let him know he wasn’t dreaming.  The entire day I could just see how exuberant Cam and Angie were not only with each other but with the entire day as it was. Angie was literally giggling the entire time we took their couples photos. It was hilariously sweet. I just love these two.

Their Ceremony was breathtaking, the weather was phenomenal and the reception was a riot! I am so glad that we were able to share in this special day with Cam and Angie. I pray that they have a lifetime of giggles, smiles, Manolo Blahnik’s and bulldogs like Captain.

Other vendors that we worked with on this wedding included:

Kim Shane of Shane Productions

Jason Jass of Visions Entertainment

Kelley of Lavenders and Gifts

Sex in the City, what? 🙂

See the twinkle in his eyes?

Thank you Lauren for this GREAT shot!

Meet "Captain"

Favorite of the day!
