it’s fitting i decided to blog these two today, because it’s brandon’s birthday! happy birthday, brandon.
i had the best time with these two. they showed up to my office and asked if we could change locations… they thought it might be too far. i put up a small fight and got them to agree with me. so glad i did.
aislynn picked the best outfits for both of them with solids and prints. complimenting colors and not too matchy matchy.
she’s a karaoke dj and he is a restaurant manager
they met through her brother (ben’s best friend) and quickly knew they were the perfect match
they picked the best place for pictures in, malibu.
a new location is always my favorite, especially when it looks like this.
looking forward to heading to the santa barbara zoo in april for these two
it would take me forever and a day to tell you about my relationship with megan
we met as wee little ladies (i think between 2-4 years old), we’ve carpooled to school, had the chicken pocks together (my sister, megan and i), had many sleep overs (but one of us would get scared and call our parents to pick us up), we’ve teamed up at wednesday night bible study to fight the boys who were being mean, etc … you know typical girl stuff.
that is the megan i know.
THIS megan, megan with norm, NOT the megan i know.
i spend hours with couples, even days sometimes.
typically i’m alone with them, just the 3 of us. i get to see their interactions both big and small.
the way they talk to each other, the different smiles they give to one another, the way they hold each other in their arms.
i see and document as much love as i can find between the couple.
norm, you talk to megan like she’s a princess, you smile at her when she isn’t looking at you, you hold her as if it’s the first and last time you’ll do so.
you adore my friend.
you’ve turned her into the girl who wants to brag about her man on facebook, tell her friends what he did for her on their date, and you’ve taken down her wall.
i watched her with you, she hangs on the words that you say to her, she trusts your hugs, adores your smiles, and has found the love of her life.
and we can’t forget zuma! she loved pictures for about 5 minutes, then she was over it.
saw the chair on the left… had an idea. it turned into the image on the right.
nicole & sean will be married this summer in north carolina
she, a southern belle
him, a southern californian
and “them” together couldn’t be better.
since the wedding will be in nicole’s home state of north carolina they chose to have their engagement photos taken here in southern ca
we headed out to villa park in orange county (sean’s alum) for their engagement session
it turned out beautifully.
don’t you agree?
see you in may!
I could not be more excited about posting this blog. 1 because this session happened in Chicago (where I spent a semester of college before it turned to winter, I quickly came back to California at that point- however I still LOVE it there as long as I am only visiting) and 2 because it’s a long time prayer request finally answered.
I met Michael (“Swalley” as he is better known here in CA) about 5 years ago. He came to live with my parents while he started up his Break Dance Ministry “Break Free“. What was supposed to be a 3 month stay turned into 3+ years. Thankfully.
Swalley has to be one of the best guys I know. He has the warmest, most sincere personality. A true example of what a Christ like man should be.
It wasn’t long after Swalley moved in with our family that he quickly became part of it. Having a special and unique relationship with each and every one of us. He joined our family prayer night that we have every Monday. We all have dinner together and then sit around and share our requests and what we are thankful for before we pray. It’s a special time for all of us every week and it was such a blessing when Swalley joined us.
This is were I believe we started praying for Swalley’s future wife. The long and short of it… these prayers didn’t go unanswered. Swalley waited patiently on the Lord and WOW did HE deliver!!
Hilarious. Thoughtful. Sarcastic. Christ like. Outgoing. Caring. and Gorgeous.
Swalley’s perfect match.
It took Swalley about a whole 3 months before asking Ellen to marry him. They will be together no more than 6 months and a couple of days when they tie the knot this November in Oswego, Illinois.
I am honored, overjoyed, and thrilled to be part of their celebration. I can’t wait to share more about the two of them with a video and more wedding photos after their wedding.
In the meantime, here are some of my favorites from their engagement session all over Chicago.
